Eugen Doga Music Cafe opening. 3.03.2018

“I am very glad that Nicolae Abraham had the opportunity to open this salon. I am one to follow nature and I see that the sun goes from dawn to dusk, who are we to go against the sun?! My dears, let's follow the sun, for it is never wrong," said Eugen Doga.

On March 3, 2018, representatives of the central and local administration, the diplomatic corps accredited in Chisinau, writers, journalists and artists took part in the opening of Eugen Doga Music Cafeat Vatra Neamului restaurant in Chisinau, reported MOLDPRES agency.

Nicolae Abraham,president of the Cultural Center Vatra (“hearth”), director of Vatra Neamului restaurant, noted that Eugen Doga Music Cafe is a public institution, a music and cultural center.

“This is a place for tourists and music lovers, where they can listen to the composer’s music and participate in book and CD presentations while enjoying our cuisine,” said Nicolae Abraham.

During the event, opera singers Mariana Bulikanu, Elena Demirzhan, Ion Timofti and Ana Moraré, Accord Band, Vitaliy and Katalin Advahov, and other performers performed before the guests.

On the occasion of the opening of Eugen Doga Music Cafe, Cultural Center Vatra organized a contest entitled Images within Music, in which children and teenagers from all over the country, as well as from Romania, took part. The children were to show their associations with Doga’s music through drawing.

This unique art space will gather admirers of Eugen Doga’s art, lovers of poetry, theater, painting, sculpture, cinema, photography, and everything beautiful.

“Perhaps for the first time, Maestro’s work will unite with other forms of art. Additionally, here you can find his biography, photographs from different periods, as well as an exhibition of children’s paintings. We wanted to see how children perceive Maestro’s music,” said the creator of the concept Nicolae Abraham, chairman of Cultural Center Vatra.
